Nestpane replaces Chrome's blank new tab page with a personal dashboard: bookmarks, notes, a Nestodo task board, a focus timer, and a habit tracker — plus an optional, read-only Google Calendar widget and optional encrypted Google Drive backup, if you choose to sign in.

Why Nestpane exists, and exactly what it needs your Google account for.
Every new browser tab is wasted screen space. Nestpane's purpose is to turn that blank page into one local dashboard for the things people check dozens of times a day — bookmarks, a running notes and task list (Nestodo), a focus timer, and daily habits — without requiring an account, a server, or a sign-up.
Google sign-in is entirely optional and only unlocks two narrowly-scoped features: a read-only view of your upcoming Google Calendar events on the new tab page, and an optional backup of your Nestpane data (bookmarks, notes, tasks) to a private, hidden app-data folder in your own Google Drive that only Nestpane can access — never your other Drive files. Nestpane never creates, edits, or deletes anything in your Calendar or Drive.
Everything else — the dashboard, bookmarks, notes, the task board, the timer, and habit tracking — works fully offline, stored only in your browser, with no account required and no data ever sent to us or sold to anyone. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown of what is and isn't accessed.
A local-first dashboard for the tab you open dozens of times a day — with two optional Google features if you want them.
Organize bookmarks into folders and pin your most-used sites as one-click shortcuts, right on the new tab page.
A quick-capture notes editor and Nestodo, a Kanban-style task board with reminders — everything saved locally on your device.
A Pomodoro-style focus timer and a daily habit tracker, so the page you already stare at helps you stay on track.
Sign in with Google to see a read-only view of your upcoming Calendar events on the new tab page. We never create, edit, or delete events — and sign-in is entirely optional.
Optionally back up your bookmarks, notes, and tasks to a private, hidden app-data folder in your own Google Drive — a folder only Nestpane can see, not your other files.
Everything lives in your browser by default. No account is required, we run no servers of our own, and nothing is ever sold or shared.
